Cornwall in September

I took mum to Cornwall in September.  We stayed at the Carlyon Bay hotel at St Austell.  An enjoyable 4 days to chill out and give us some different scenery.   After checking in I left mum to unpack and went to investigate the beach.

A few kite surfers came in but I had a short lens on

On Monday we set out to go to Tresillick Gardens but I missed the turning and I left the gardens for another day.  We went to St Mawes for lunch then explored most of the Roseland penisula, stopping at one of the beaches for photos.

Finally reached Tresillick on Tuesday.  Left the hotel when it started to rain and it came down in torrents but cleared up when we reached the gardens.  Spent a pleasant few hours there - coffee very good.  There is an excellent second hand bookshop and a gallery there too.  The Antiques Road show was visiting on the Thursday so things were being set up.  Shame to miss it but we are leaving Cornwall on Thursday.  I walked to Charlestown on our return which was very busy.  Missed seeing any of the Poldark crew.  Apparently Aiden Turner was in Tescos at St Austell.  Not a supermarket I would be patronising whatever the temptation!

Had a lovely day on the opposite coast on Wednesday.  Started off at Perranporth - I had seen there was a very good coffee shop there.   The surfers were out and there was plenty to photograph.  Went on to a few more beaches.  Took ages to find St Agnes Head as it wasn't signposted.

That's all for Cornwall.  Next trip is Australia for my niece Anna's wedding on 8th October 2016 in Brisbane.
