Wellness retreat with Immerse Hebrides

I couldn't resist booking on to this retreat.  Based in Eagle Lodge in Uig,  Isle of Lewis it was an opportunity to explore the area.  Swimming, yoga and a massage along with good food and good company were also part of the package.  Norma and Neil were excellent hosts and they were assisted by Emma providing the yoga, Anne-Marie the massage and not forgetting Donald who made sure we were fed.

I met Norma in Stornoway.  Allie then Rose and Johnnie joined us.  We drove out to Uig and met with Louise and Barbara who had had to catch the ferry from Skye as the weather had prevented the Ullapool to Stornoway ferry running.  We had a relaxing start to the weekend with a quick dip at Cnip beach on Valtos.  Then the hot tub came into its own but I chose the hot shower.  Dinner was at Uig Sands restaurant.

Yoga before breakfast to start the day.  Then the massages.  Barbara and I chose to go last and made our way to Aird Uig for a walk around Gallan head.  In the afternoon we had another dip at Reef beach accompanied by Loki, Norma and Neil's new puppy.

Up early on Sunday for an Equinox Sunrise dip at Reef.  More yoga and more food then a walk at Mangersta and a swim at Carnish beach.

I didn't have my camera for the 10 stags we saw in the morning but managed to snap these two on the way back from Mangersta.

So enjoyed the weekend and glad I am booked on the next one to Mull and Iona.  Felt very relaxed and was told I looked relaxed and well when I stopped off at my friends on the way back home.  The Wellness retreat worked!
