Malta
Just back from visiting my friend Edwin in Malta. A lovely week with plenty of opportunities for photos. Edwin lives in Gudja - handily by the airport.
On the Wednesday we visited the ancient city of Mdina.
On Thursday we visited Valletta and were in time for the noon day cannon firing. Had lunch at Edwin's club where I took the photos of the square.
On Friday it was a trip to Marsaskala and the north side of the island.
On Saturday we strolled to the airport and found a lovely coffee shop called Talbot & Bons. It is situated in a large office block with Microsoft written on it and is to the left of the airport. On my way home I checked my bag in and then we went for coffee there rather then the Costa at the airport.
Then we visited Marsaxlokk.
Roast dinner on Sunday - at a restaurant called Cool Waters at Marsaskala. In the evening we strolled around the fields at Gudja.
On Monday we revisited Mdina and had a lovely stroll in the San Anton gardens where the presidential palace is situated.
On my last day we re visited Marsaskala for a fish and chip lunch and a stroll before hand.
Back home now until July when I am off to Italy
