6 weeks on Lewis Part 5

The first part of this post is actually in Part IV as I forgot I was in my fourth week already.  In between showers, I drove down to Bosta beach to see a sunset.  Too many clouds - it appears the vivid sunsets are in Somerset.  Anyway I took a few images before the rain returned.

Light on a loch
I have a bit of catching up to do on the blogsite.  I went swimming on Monday with Jenny and her friend Nana.  On Tuesday, I walked to the community centre in the pouring rain to meet Jenny and Anne for lunch.  They came back to the house for tea and then we all went back to Jenny and Murdo's for supper before bridge.  On Wednesday, I went to give blood in Stornoway but I had to start as a new donor for Scotland and needed an malarial test.  After meeting Jenny for lunch, I went for a walk around the castle grounds.

Gulls at Cuddy Point
I thought I would be in all day on Thursday due to the weather.  However, the sun came out at about 12 pm and I got ready for a walk.  I only had about 10 minutes of sun before the rain came down.  I walked to the Dun and then back to Breacleit and off searching for a shieling village off the Kirkbost road.  It was getting late, however, and no let up from the rain, so I gave up on the search.  Went to see 'Looper' with Jenny and Murdo.  A much better film than Anna Karenina.

A drier and sunnier day on Friday.  I set off to Balthos to look for a mill complex.  Completely failed to find it but had a lovely walk and found three other little structures.  Dry until the last few minutes, when the hail started.
