India's Golden Triangle - Fatehpur Sikri

After stopping to photograph the buffalos, we made our way to Fatehpur Sikri, a red sandstone city built in the 16th century. It was the capital of the Mughal Empire but only lived in for 11 years.

We had lunch on the way at an ex Maharaja's palace, now a hotel. Saw the Nilgai, an Indian antelope on the way to our lunch stop.

After lunch, I was given the opportunity to sit at the front of the coach on the long journey to Jaipur. Good for photos but not for the nerves. The traffic laws are similar to those in the UK but no one heeds them. It is quite normal to see vehicles driving the wrong way in the dual carriageway. Shankar told us it is because they don't want to take the long way around!
