Northumberland with TCC
I had a very busy week in Northumberland with some members of the Taunton Camera Club. We stayed at Seahouses and spent three days on the Farne Islands trying to capture flying puffins. It was a great privilege to be so close to the wildlife.
When we arrived on Saturday there was a very stormy sea, not very well captured on the first pic but the only one I managed. The next day we wandered on the beach then went on to Alnwick and spent most of the time at the fountains.
An evening shot of Bamburgh lighthouse, morning at Dunsterburgh and by the causeway to Holy Island was this seal which had to be captured on camera.
An afternoon on Holy Island photographing the old boats.
Taking pics of terns pecking hats was enjoyable. The shags also inhabit the islands and were a little easier to photograph. The photos of the terns later were taken by the method employed by the man here.
The last day on the Farne Islands and I finally got some decent photos of the puffins.
A morning on Seahouses and two sunset views at Bamburgh
3 photos of the views Lowry painted in Berwick on Tweed
A few pics from a last walk on the beach and by the fulmar and kittiwake colony at Seahouses
