Venice in December
I thought I would pop over to Venice as Expedia had a sale. As they used Ryanair, I only used the hotel and then booked Easyjet. Cost me just over £100 for two nights which was a bargain. I was mainly trying for more photos for the panel I am working on and I think I succeeded. I stayed in Hotel Centuro (excellent) near the Rialto and strolled around for both days before going back on Friday before Christmas. Of course, it was when Bristol airport closed due to a minor incident and the return flight was cancelled. 3 hours in the queue to be put on a flight on Saturday to Gatwick via Berlin. Hotel by the airport courtesy of Easyjet. 8 hours in Berlin but I managed to have the last seat on a flight to Bristol from Berlin which was easier. Easyjet refunded the coach ticket I had bought from Gatwick and I thought they managed things very well.
Next post is my skiing holiday in Italy with Solos at end of January.
