Trip to Croatia with Bridgewater International

Another successful and enjoyable trip organised by Brian.  It is usually a trip with the choir but this was one without any concerts to prepare for.  Up at 3 am for the journey to Bristol Airport and the Easyjet flight at 6.45 am.   Arrived in Split and had 3 hours to look around and have lunch.  A few photos later!

Walked to the top of this bell tower

Sunset at the hotel

Booked in to our hotel Medora Auri in Podgora, further up the coast and a welcome rest after the early start.  On Wednesday we were coached to Mostar stopping at Blue and Red Lakes.  No water in the Blue Lake.  Then to Mostar and the new bridge.  It had not been rebuilt after the war when I was last here so lovely to see it restored.

There is water below

Snapped from the coach but I like the painterly effect

A welcome wine tour and tasting then back to the hotel.

Two pics blended together of the beautiful wooden rails by the side of the steps.

A free day on Thursday.  I walked left of the hotel to the end of Podgora then back to Tucepi.

Had lunch at the Two Monkeys in Podgora

On Friday we met up with 35 Czech friends of Brian on a boat trip to Jelsa and then on to Bol.  A fish picnic and alcohol so a good time was had by all.

A blend of a pod of dolphins seen on the way out
