Bournemouth with RPS Visual Arts Group

Another great weekend organised by David.  I drove down with Ted.  We had a short walk along the front and visited the Russell-Cotes Museum.  On Saturday, Ted, Barbara, whom I shared a room with and I went to Mudeford Quay, Lymington and Lyndhurst.

On Sunday we went by bus to Sandbanks and ferry to Brownsea.  I discovered a few more places I hadn't been on the island.  The red squirrels were out in force.  Back in Bournemouth we wandered along the beach and found lots of photo opportunities.  Discovered the landslide which had damaged the lift.  It happened at 5 am and we should have noticed it before as we were taking photos of the memorial at 9.30 am which is above the landslide.

Memorial taken at 9.30am - note the landslide photo near the  end.

I liked the light on the water at Bournemouth

Squirrels seemed to be everywhere.  This is at the entry to Dorset Wildlife's bit of Brownsea

I couldn't see anything from the Reed Hide so started to play.  Found out afterwards that the deer were there, hiding in the reeds.  Had I done a search with my lens, I would have seen them.

Ted took this image of me and a lady who was staying in the same hotel.  Jack from Taunton Camera Club had taken photos of her the day before.

The greys are cute too but not as much as the reds.

Thank you to David for all the organisation and the Visual Arts committee for their work too.  Shame I will miss the October weekend but hope to make Amsterdam next April.
