RPS Visual Art Group Spring Weekend in Bristol

Had an enjoyable weekend staying at Hilton Garden Inn - arranged by David Wood, Visual Art group of RPS.  We had the morning free on Saturday and the whole day on Sunday.  Then some great speakers and delicious dinners for the rest of the afternoon and evenings.  These are the images I took over the weekend.

On the Saturday I accompanied Ted (also from Taunton Camera Club) to take the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

We then ambled through Clifton and back down to Stokes Croft to see the street art.

At Stokes Croft - one to add to my dragon collection

In the ladies when we stopped for a cup of tea

We wandered from Stokes Croft through to St Pauls

The next day, Ted and Roy from Newcastle and I visited Arnos Vale cemetery, then meandered back via Paintworks and the river Avon back to our hotel.

Lots of primroses in the cemetery

Graffiti doesn't help this sculpture

Opposite our hotel was the ruined Temple church
The next outing for the group is Birmingham on first weekend in October - I hope to be there.

  • It looks like an interesting town--or at least you found interesting things to photograph! Great variety, some very strong graphic compositions, love the reflection shot especially (brings back fun memories of Paris).
