Chicago
The plane ride to Chicago from Quito was uneventful except I lost my vaseline owing to the liquid ban. My lips and hands were dry (no hand cream either) by the time I got to Chicago. I had to rub my fingers on my forehead (on advice by the immigration officer) to get them damp for the fingerprints.
I checked into the House of Blues - very good value for money hotel. It was easy walking to the Mile and the museums and millenninium park. I spent a lot of time looking for a good breakfast diner and eventually found the only one in Chicago. The only other places for breakfast seemed to be coffee and donuts or plastic food. The hotel breakfast was the same price as the diner so I saved my feet the rest of the days.
Visited the aquariam and the art gallery and decided that was my culture fix done. Most of my time was spent at the Apple store - free internet all day. Not that free for me as I bought a Mac pro and very happy with it as I can do the blog providing there is wireless coverage.
A few photos - as usual bottom is first. I loved the bean in the Millennium park.
