Aberdovey, Wales
There is nothing to beat Britain in the sunshine. I had the most beautiful drive from Taunton to Aberdovey on Friday 20th April. Wales was glorious and even the slight 'damping' of rain on Sunday could not spoil it. I joined Yvonne, Penny, Joy, Jean and Barbara at Penny's cousin's house for the weekend. There was plenty of walking, eating and drinking. I left a day early and heard that there was a lot of shopping done on the Monday. Photos tell you all. I had to take one of Joy modelling what she had brought to wear in case of bad weather. Needless to say she did not have to put any of it on except for the photo.
There were lambs everywhere and the robin seemed to pop up in most of the places we visited. Pooh sticks were played at Dolgoch Falls, hence the girls looking over the bridge trying to identify the sticks.

Hi Caroline, I was just going through my bookmarked list and found your blog again. Your trip looks and sound wonderful, I'm insanely jealous of you, I really want to travel. lately I have been extra busy with university work and havent had much time for anything else but working (at the cowboys leagues club now, it's like an RSL). But I'l be all finished in about a month but by then you would have had my mum and dad for a week. I wish I was going with them, they're so lucky. Anyway, I'm off to do the shoppig with dad. So best of luck with your next trip.
Love
Anna
